The Art Museum of WVU is pleased to announce the next traveling exhibition! Coming from Arizona State University, Flowing Beyond Heaven and Earth: Chinese Master Ceramists will open to the public on Friday, March 2 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the upstairs Gallery with a reception in the Museum Education Center’s Grand Hall. A companion exhibit, Form and Balance: Ceramics from the Collection, will also be on view and feature pieces from the Art Museum’s permanent collection.
Flowing Beyond Heaven and Earth is organized by the Curator of Ceramics, Garth Johnson, and the Arizona State University Art Museum Ceramics Research Center, Tempe, Arizona. Coordinated by artist Luo Xiaoping and made possible by the China Industrial Ceramics Association (CCIA). Supported by the ASU Art Museum’s Helme Prinzen Endowment.
Form and Balance is curated by Robert Bridges, Curator, Art Museum of WVU, and Surisday Reyes, Curator, Museo Nacional de la Cerámica, Cuba.
